This page explains how we check what we publish on Aussierlotto. Our aim is boringly transparent: every number should be traceable to a document a reader could find themselves in under five minutes.
Sources we accept
Operator rule documents (on the operator's own website), regulator filings, and the current licensed-operator register published by Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC). When we quote an odds figure, it's the figure printed in the operator's own rules document, not a third-party summary.
Sources we reject
Synthetic lottery-betting sites, offshore operators without a current licence in Australia · Victoria, social-media posts, and aggregator sites that republish numbers without a primary source. We also do not use figures from our own older articles when the operator's document has since changed.
What triggers an update
A rules change at the operator, a licence revocation, or a correction reported by a reader. Whenever any of these happens we update the affected pages within two working days, and we leave a dated note at the top of the page recording what changed.
How we correct mistakes
When we get a fact wrong we fix it in place, with a dated line at the top of the page explaining the change. We do not silently edit articles. The corrections email is [email protected].
